These designs are revisions of the UNSC Marine Battalion seen in Halo Combat Evolved (2001) created for the Halo SPV3 project. For performance, poly-count and texture-resolution is restricted to accommodate the capable but dated Halo Engine. The clothing, armor, and helmet are based on designs from Halo Combat Evolved, SPV3.1/2, Halo Reach, and to a lesser extent, Halo 2 and 3. Vanity patches are intended to add personality to each marine’s design. Names of unique characters from the game and the Bungie employees that served as face models are present on helmets and some hats.

Creation Process

The models were created in Autodesk Maya and Max, then imported into the Halo PC (2003) Engine use Bungie’s “Tool.exe“ program and tested with “Sapien.“
